Personal
Care Services (PCS)
- A Medicaid
funded program offering assistance with activities of daily living.
- Personal
care tasks must be provided; such as bathing, hair and nail care, assist
with feeding, assist and encourage client with physical activities/exercises,
and monitoring blood pressure, temperature, weight, etc.
- Services
may also include routine housekeeping and home managerial tasks including
meal preparation, laundry, sweeping, dusting, mopping, shopping for groceries
and essentials.
- Client must
have a stable medical condition requiring the direct and ongoing care
of the physician ordering the service.
- There must
also be a need for personal care due to the medical condition.
- Services
are provided in the client's home
Community
Alternatives Program (CAP)
- Medicaid
funded program administered by the local Department of Social Services to
allow disabled persons, both children and adults, additional assistance
enabling them to stay in their homes rather than residing in a nursing facility.
- Home Care
of Alexander County, Inc. is a contracted provider of In-Home Aides, Certified
Nursing Assistants, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses for service
to the CAP Program clients.
Private
Duty Nursing (PDN)
- Allows clients
and families the option of paying privately or through private insurance
for services needed,
- Services
can be skilled nursing visits for wound dressing changes or other skilled
nursing needs, companion services or personal care services not covered
by other pay sources.
